Celebrating
26 Years
of Unity, Accountability,
and Cooperation
Bishop Randy & Lady Norma Borders
WELCOME YOU
OUR ORIGINS
The Word of the Lord came to our Bishop in June of 1993 saying, "There is need for covenantal accountability?" From that moment he began to pray about the establishment of a fellowship of like-mined brethren whose main desire was to see the kingdom of God established and to display a unity among Pastors and local churches. Thus, the concept of Living Word Christian Ministries was born and founded in January of 1994. The name was officially changed to Harvest Church Ministries International in March of 1999.
OUR PROFILE
HCMI is a nonprofit corporation; established to develop and coordinate an affiliation of like-minded, autonomously governed local churches, ministries, and enterprises. Our network of local churches has the primary apostolic vision of church planting and strengthening.
OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose is to serve the local church. Our policy is that we not lord over any church.
1 Peter 5:3 "Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock." Any participation in HCMI is voluntary submission to the leaders and oversight, which the Lord has given us. We provide fellowship that brings resources together that's beyond your local fellowship.
Our purpose is to serve with integrity. By being a part of an organization and fellowship, it provides a system of accountability and protection. Absolute Power corrupts absolutely. Every pastor should have someone he/she considers his pastor from whom they can get counsel and instruction. And every church should have a fellowship that provides training in ministry, guidelines for financial credibility, and corporate home and foreign missions.
ABOUT
HCMI

THE
BISHOP
ishop Randy Borders, an anointed preacher of our time, communicates the gospel message with unmistakable clarity. His ministry challenges believers to flow in God's Divine Order. Bishop Borders gave his life to the Lord at the tender age of 12. By age 15, he had risen to a countywide youth chaplain with the Missionary Baptist Church, where he was later licensed and ordained into ministry.
While in college, Bishop Borders attended Evangel COGIC under the leadership of superintendent Otis Lockett. Five days after his graduation from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, in 1990, Bishop Borders founded Word of Life Fellowship Church. The church name was officially changed to Faith Harvest Church in March of 1999.
Bishop Borders currently serves as senior pastor of Faith Harvest Church, in Shelby, NC. Faith Harvest Church has evolved into a multiracial, multifaceted ministry, which include many ministries of edification and outreach. Bishop Borders is also Founder and Presiding Prelate of Harvest Ministries International, Inc., a network of local churches with primary apostolic vision of church planting and strengthening.
In April of 1996, Bishop Harold Ivory Williams, and an official college of duly consecrated Bishops, consecrated Bishop Borders to the bishopric. Since his consecration, Bishop Borders has become part of the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops Congress. In June of 2002, Bishop Borders founded Christ Harvest Church in Charlotte, NC. He also founded Covenant Harvest Church in Greer, SC in November of 2009.
Bishop Borders met the former Norma Lee while attending UNCG. The two were married in June 1994, and have two lovely children-Efrim and Hope. Bishop is also a published author of the critically acclaimed books, STAY FOCUSED and THE ADJUTANT'S GUIDE TO ETIQUETTE.
